For CPAs and tax preparers
Send the client whose books you don’t want to touch.
Elizabeth Olsen cleans them up under a written scope and hands you back reconciled books. You keep the tax work. That’s the entire offer.
What she takes on
The file you’d rather not touch yourself.
Cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping: the two situations that most often land on a CPA’s desk at the worst possible time.
Bookkeeping cleanup
Files that were set up incorrectly, co-mingled, or neglected, reconciled, re-categorized, and made tax-ready.
See the cleanup service →Catch-up bookkeeping
Months or years of unrecorded transactions, brought current month by month until the client is caught up.
See the catch-up service →What you get back
A file you can actually build a return on.
Every account reconciled
Bank and credit card accounts reconciled for the period in scope, not just eyeballed.
Transactions properly coded
Re-categorized and cleaned up so the chart of accounts actually reflects the business.
Adjustments documented
Year-end adjusting entries made and noted, so nothing you review is a mystery.
Tax-ready financial statements
P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, delivered ready for you to build the return on.
How it works
Scoped in writing, before anything starts.
Once you send a referral, Elizabeth follows up with you to arrange the introduction, reviews the file, and agrees the scope and basis for the work in writing before any of it begins. Every engagement is governed by Poised Books’ standard terms for client engagements, so the ground rules are the same for every client, every time.
When the cleanup is done, the reconciled file comes back to you for the tax work. Elizabeth doesn’t prepare returns and isn’t trying to.
The client stays yours. Poised Books does cleanup, not tax, and doesn’t pitch a referred client on tax work.
Who does the work
Every referral is handled by Elizabeth Olsen, personally.
Elizabeth is a QuickBooks Advanced Certified ProAdvisor. She leads every cleanup herself: reconciliations, re-categorizations, and the judgment calls that come with fixing a file, rather than handing the client off to a team you’ve never spoken with.
